Car Of The Year 2010

Jaguar’s spectacular new XJL 3.0D has been voted the top car for Britain’s chauffeurs and private hire drivers. It’s the overall winner of Professional Driver Magazine’s Car of the Year Awards for 2010.
The luxury limousine also won the Chauffeur Car of the Year category in the Professional Driver Car of the Year Awards. This turned out to be the closest-fought category, and the Jaguar XJL faced tough competition from the Mercedes S350 LWB and last year’s winner, the BMW 730Ld.


The BMW 530d Grand Turisno has won the Executive Car of the Year class in the 2010 Professional Driver Car of the Year Awards.
The recently updated and facelifted Ford Galaxy has maintained its stranglehold on the MPV of the Year class in the 2010 Professional Driver Car of the Year Awards, retaining the prize it won last year. The Galaxy finished ahead of the Mercedes Viano and a strong newcomer, the Peugeot 5008, in a hard-fought category.
For the second year running, the Skoda Superb saloon has been voted Private Hire Car of the Year in the Professional Driver Car of the Year Awards for 2010.
A new category was introduced for the 2010 Professional Driver Car of the Year Awards– Bespoke Vehicle of the Year, covering specialist chauffeuring and limousine vehicles such as stretch limousines and van conversions.
