Starring role for Crawfords’ Vito fleet

Leading chauffeur hire company Crawfords of London has added 48 Mercedes-Benz Vito 115CDI Traveliners to its Mercedes-Benz-dominated fleet of 250 luxury cars and people carriers.

Built on line at the Mercedes-Benz factory, the new seven- and nine-seaters arrived via Rygor Commercials, Heathrow.

Crawfords is the transport provider for many leading artist management companies and organisers of high-profile events in the media and entertainment industry – the company provides chauffeur-driven vehicles for touring bands and performers, gala film premieres and awards ceremonies including the Brits and Baftas, as well as blue-chip businesses.

Operations Director David Robert said: “We pride ourselves on providing a total transport solution to touring bands – a complete package might include Mercedes-Benz S-Class limousines for the artists, and our Vito Traveliners for security personnel, the ‘entourage’ and luggage.

“They are superbly comfortable and fitted out with extras such as TV screens, DVD players and Wi-fi connections. Stylish and easy to drive around the city, they allow us to move a lot of people and their personal baggage quickly and easily. The grille badge certainly helps too,” he continued. “Image is massively important in this industry – you only get one chance to make a strong first impression and the three-pointed star underlines our commitment to quality.”
