Peugeot reveals new 508 estate and confirms diesel hybrid version
This stylish estate is part of Peugeot’s new 508 range, to be launched in 2011. We’ve already seen the saloon version – both models will be formally unveiled at the Paris Motor Show at the end of this month.
The Peugeot 508 will feature a new e-HDi stop and start system, a new-generation system that offers improved driveability and economy enhancements of up to 15%. And Peugeot's HYbrid4 diesel hybrid technology will become available on the 508 next year. This will provide 200bhp performance with all-wheel drive and emissions of 99g/km of CO2 or zero in electric mode.
Exceptional interior space, a generous boot, and a high level of standard specification should give Peugeot added appeal to private hire buyers – who liked the 405 and 406 models, but didn’t buy the 407 in such large numbers.
