Double delight for Tristar in RoSPA safety awards
Leading chauffeur fleet Tristar Worldwide’s strong occupational safety and health recognised has been recognised by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents in its 2013annual awards.
Tristar received the Gold Award for Management of Road Risk (MORR) and the Silver Award for Occupational Health and Safety. Tristar’s predominantly Volvo fleet is equipped with Volvo’s City Safety automatic braking system (pictured above), which uses sensors to detect and avoid impending low-speed collisions in traffic.
Tristar Worldwide CEO Dean De Beer said: “We are delighted that our commitment to health and safety has been recognised in these two prestigious awards. From the latest technology to driver training, delivering a safe and secure experience for our clients is at the very top of our priorities.”
David Rawlins, RoSPA’s awards manager, said: “RoSPA firmly believes that organisations that demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement in accident and ill health prevention deserve recognition. Tristar Worldwide has shown that it is committed to striving for such continuous improvement and we are delighted to honour it through the presentation of an award.”
The RoSPA Awards scheme is the largest and longest-running programme of its kind in the UK. It is open to businesses and organisations of all types and sizes from across the UK and overseas. The Awards will be presented on May 16 at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.
