Addison Lee boosts premium fleet with London Executive acquisition
Addison Lee has strengthened its position in the executive chauffeuring sector with the acquisition of London Executive.
The deal increases Addison Lee’s executive fleet with the addition of London Executive’s 130 Mercedes-Benz cars, making Addison Lee one of the largest Mercedes-Benz chauffeur fleets in London.
The acquisition will be completed by the end of April, with London Executive staff being fully integrated into the Addison Lee premises within the next month. Addison Lee has been contacting London Executive customers to outline the benefits and additional services that being part of the group will bring.
Liam Griffin, CEO of Addison Lee, said: “We are delighted to welcome London Executive to the Addison Lee family. London Executive’s passion for high quality service and corporate client base are a natural fit with Addison Lee’s Exec services. Our new and existing customers will now have access to London’s largest fleet of Mercedes vehicles, supported by our smartphone apps and world-leading technology.”
London Executive was formed in 1998 and has extensive experience in providing premium transport services across London with a large corporate client base. London Executive managing director Adam Harvey, who was part of the original management team that set up the business, is not staying with Addison Lee.
Harvey said Addison Lee bosses “were absolute gentlemen and professional throughout the entire process” and posted on his LinkedIn page that he was “now looking for another business venture outside the private hire industry”.
Under Harvey’s guidance, London Executive made several acquisitions, including Chauffeur First in 2010; Airport Despatch and Ambassador International in 2011 and Express National Carriers in 2013. Last December the company ordered 50 Mercedes-Benz E300 Bluetec Hybrid cars, and announced plans to switch its entire E-Class fleet over to the hybrid models.
