Comparison app Minicabit partners with Heathrow and Barclays

PD website news Amer Hasan Minicabit 300Private hire price comparison and booking service Minicabit, has launched partnerships with Heathrow Airport and Barclays Bank.

Launched in 2012 by Amer Hasan (pictured), the website and app allows users to compare and book instant quotes from taxi providers for long distance and local trips in 40 UK cities.

After a successful trial period at Heathrow, the 73 million passengers travelling through the airport every year can now compare and book fixed minicab quotes from nationwide network of 650 private hire operators.

The Barclays partnership with will see the launch of a new mobile payments service using Barclays Pingit, allowing Minicabit customers to pay through the platform, enjoying fare discounts and promotional offers.

The deals are the latest in a series of partnerships, including The O2, Blenheim Palace, London City Airport and Wembley Arena.

Amer Hasan said: “The demand we have already received highlights the need for minicab services both to and from Heathrow and we have witnessed a great response from travellers across the UK, from locations as far as Newcastle , Plymouth and Lancaster.”

He added: “It is great to see companies like Heathrow embrace new digital services and collaborate with fast growth businesses like Minicabit and for the several hundred minicab firms in our UK-wide network there are strong opportunities to benefit from the partnership and enhance revenues.”
