Rebranded car and courier group Absolutely ready to expand
Long-established courier group Mach 1 Couriers has rebranded all its various companies under a new name - Absolutely.
Absolutely will now become the brand name for all the company’s well-established courier businesses, as well as its recently acquired executive car operation. This has a fleet of 100 vehicles following the recent acquisitions of Creative Cars & Couriers and Destinations Green.
The family-run company, which dates from 1865, has adopted a new brand to give consistency across a range of acquired subsidiaries, and to reflect a corporate culture that focuses on attention to detail and personal service. Previously more than 20 different brands existed within the group, including A to Z Couriers, Citybikes Couriers, Deliverence, Fleet Street Flyers, Goldstar International and Pink Express.
Absolutely has a turnover of more than £20 million and employs 150 people across its four London locations. Following the recent acquisitions, Absolutely now runs more than 100 passenger cars, 150 courier vans and has more than 5,000 corporate accounts ranging from well-known fashion brands to law firms. And the company is remaining acquisitive, and is looking for expansion opportunities.
Jeremy Thompson, managing director of Absolutely said:
“In our Company’s long history, this is the most exciting time to date. I am delighted that the first class service and in-depth expertise we possess across our businesses can now be reflected in one all-embracing brand. I’m really looking forward to expanding the brand even further in the next few years.”
In September Mach 1 Couriers bought Creative Cars & Couriers, which has a turnover of around £5 million, and operated 50 passenger cars and 50 courier vans. And in July, it acquired Destinations Green, which ran a fleet of 50 passenger cars. The takeovers added around 2,000 accounts to the Absolutely portfolio.
