London Private Hire operator Greentomato Cars’ longest-serving driver has been chosen as Britain’s best private hire or chauffeur driver by Professional Driver Magazine, winning the Gold medal at the magazine’s prestigious annual QSi (Quality, Service and Innovation) awards.
Eric Bonful joined the company shortly after it started operating in 2006, and has worked for the firm ever since. He’s not only the longest-serving driver in the business – he’s the one the customers most frequently request by name.
Northern operators again put in a strong showing at the Professional Driver QSi (Quality Service and Innovation) Awards, the only national awards for the growing private hire and chauffeur industry.
Companies from Cumbria, Northumberland and Wearside took three of the 10 Gold awards on offer, with a fourth Gold medal also heading outside London, proving the strength of the sector across the UK. “It’s easy to look at the industry as being London-centric, but that’s clearly far from the case,” said Mark Bursa, editor of Professional Driver Magazine.
Addison Lee has launched a major new marketing campaign designed to maintain its market position against strong competition from App-based services such as Uber and Blacklane.
It is the largest marketing investment that the firm has made in London to date. The six-figure campaign, titled “Cool, Calm and Collected”, is designed to highlight the simplicity and comfort of travelling with Addison Lee. It signals a refresh for the brand, which focuses on business and premium leisure users.
