Go Green Taxis has followed its recent move into Newbury with the acquisition of local rival H&H Taxis with immediate effect.

This strategic move will ensure that the expanded organisation will be better placed to meet increasing demand for Go Green’s services within West Berkshire.

The acquisition will bring the benefits of a West Berkshire-plated fleet, including disabled access vehicles, and Jamie Hines, former owner of H&H Taxis, is remaining with the company.

Go Green’s commercial director Mark Parham said: “We are very pleased to have Jamie on board – he was very keen to talk to us when we entered the Newbury market as he quickly grasped the excellent opportunities which joint working would bring, not only in the West Berkshire area but further afield as the company continues to grow and expand.”

Go Green Taxis has won Professional Driver QSi Gold awards for the past two years, and founder Mark John does not rule out further takeovers: “It is great to have brought H&H under the Go Green brand and we would not rule out further mergers or acquisitions of other local companies if it is in our joint interests.”

As well as Newbury, Go Green Taxis has bases in, Didcot, Wallingford, Wantage, Abingdon and Oxford.
