All-new Mercedes-Benz Vito Taxi launches in London

The all-new Mercedes-Benz Vito Taxi is now officially on sale in London, priced from £168 a week with a zero deposit, based on a four-year lease with a final £15,900 payment, and 30,000 miles a year.

The London-specific model comes with a compact body length and incorporates a rear steering axle that allows it to meet the 25ft turning circle rule as prescribed by the Public Carriage Office.

It can carry up to six passengers, and is fully-wheelchair accessible. The new Vito Taxi uses the low-emission 136hp 114CDI Euro 6 engine, with 7G-Tronic Plus seven-speed automatic gearbox as standard, with Controlled steering column-mounted gear shift. However, this powertrain will need to be superseded by a hybrid by 2020, when new ULEZ rules for black cabs come into force.

Standard equipment also includes engine Start/Stop function, air conditioning for the driver and passengers, electric folding mirrors, electrically operated sliding doors on both sides and an electrical nearside and off-side step.

The new Vito Taxi comes with a three-year, unlimited mileage manufacturer’s warranty and MobiloVan back-up, which includes free, round-the-clock emergency roadside assistance.
