French-backed chauffeur operator Chabé, which launched in London last year, has grown its operations in the capital with the takeover of Global Chauffeur, the chauffeur division of Global Interconnextions.

The move is a good strategic fit, according to Chabé UK managing director David Bruce (pictured), as both companies are aimed at serving the London luxury hotel sector, as well as private individuals. And Global Chauffeur had launched an operation in France in 2019, giving further synergies with Chabé in Paris.

Global Chauffeur was a Professional Driver QSi Awards finalist in 2019, and the company’s Amar Niang said: “I am delighted to merge with Chabé. They are the stand-out leader of chauffeur services to luxury properties in continental Europe and launched with an excellent team in London last year. They bring a wealth of experience and unique digital technology to serve the luxury hotels and improve the guest experience,”

David Bruce said: “We have had a strong reception in London since launching last year and joining with Global Chauffeur really accelerates the plan by bringing new relationships and operational experience to the business. We are really excited to bring our technology, low emissions fleet and financial strength to our combined customers”.

The combined business will be based at Stockley Park near Heathrow Airport. Chabé is planning to move to new premises on the business park in the near future.
